Portrait of an Artist in Hospital (unfinished)

My father spent over half of the past year in hospital - in and out - until his death in May 2024. I tried doing a number of sketches of him but these were challenging in a busy ward. Sean Mc Gibney studied under Henry Healy and Desmond Carrick before becoming a successful artist in galleries such as Gormleys. This sketch is in pastels on pastel paper, mounted on card. He got so ill, I was afraid to work on it anymore for fear I would lost his essence - hence unfinished.
