Drop-off

Instructions for dropping-off your work

Drop off Days:

  • Thurs June 27th from 2pm - 8pm
  • Fri June 28th from 10am - 4pm

These are the only two days when work can be accepted. If you cannot come in person you can send someone else but please ensure they have everything labeled and all instructions with them.

Instructions:

  • Please bring all work, except stained glass or some delicate piece* to the DIRECTORS OFFICE. We will have signs up on the day.
  • We have booked professional hangers for 2nd and 3rd of July
  • Due to health and safety vigilance college maintenance will be on hand to assist.
  • Properly label all your works and notebooks (See Labelling page for instructions)

Presentation

Ideally work should NOT be mounted or framed.

Only works that have been juried in will be checked in.

You can drop off up to 3 notebooks PLEASE label them, instruction are below. 

Both portfolio and individual works must be labeled using the labels from artcall (see below).

*Stained glass, large, and delicate works: If you have large artworks or delicate work – Ceramics/Sculpture etc. We would prefer if you could drop it directly to the Design Building on Monday 1st July (or at latest Tuesday morning) when we are starting to organise the work. This will mean we won’t have to transport it from the Director’s office and it won't be lying around. As we hope to commence setup on Monday pm the earlier you can get this to us the better.

2D work may be submitted on paper, board, photographic paper, acetate, canvas stretchers or other supports. Unframed or fragile 2D work should be submitted in a portfolio, plastic sleeves or other suitable packaging. 

Canvases must be strung from the sides at a point one-third way down from the top. Do not submit wet paintings.

Sculpture & 3D work which is heavy, delicate, or requires assembly be please include diagram showing how work is assembled. You may also need to come in and assist with moving or assembling work. For bronze or very heavy/large works you may just submit photographs with dimensions and bring selected work to the exhibition during set-up.

Audio and Video work should be submitted on appropriate playing device (USB) and will require your assistance to set up - You will be asked If you have your own screen or you need some assistance to find a device. Also, detailed instructions for running work must be printed and left for the invigilators of the exhibition. 

Volunteers needed

NCAD Evening Student's Exhibition is for the CEAD students by the CEAD students. We are all volunteers trying our best to put everything together. So please sign up by reaching out to esu@student.ncad.ie

Responsibility

NCAD, CEAD, the Evening Students Union will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of work.  Students should ensure that they have appropriate insurance.
