This beautiful Italian region has not forgotten its
tragic earthquake past.
Inspiration: A storm was rising.
The sunlit mountain struck a chord in my heart
and I had to paint the scene.
Learning Experience: For the village and vegetation, semi
opaque glazes of brown earth colours and ivory black
were applied to the toned support. Greens were added later.
