Spider Plant

This piece was part of experimentation during the Sculpture & Drawing Course. The main medium is Indian ink painted with utensils made from found materials such as willow twigs bunched together or plastic utensils tied together to fashion paintbrushes. The effect made by the willow paintbrush resulted in erratic yet delicate marks reflective of movement the spider plant makes as its leaves oscillate in warm air from the radiator below its windowsill.
