Non-Habit-Forming

Non-Habit-Forming explores themes of the domestic, routines, and neurodiversity. The artist’s experience pursuing a late-in-life diagnosis informs a sympathetic, forgiving reflection on the shame of past perceived failures and flaws regarding universal daily tasks such as home maintenance and personal hygiene. This work portrays the chaos of domestic life in an increasingly individualistic world as well as the systems and technology that are supposed to make it all easier but often just lead to more work.
